You might like to think you’ve never done anything wild for a book, but deep down we all know we have. Here are ten outrageous things I’ve personally done just because I love books.
stayed up all night reading – I’m such a night owl, so this has never been hard for me. Until the day after. The first book I remember staying up the entire night for was Breaking Dawn by Stephanie Meyer. I of course bought it at midnight and didn’t rest until I had read the very last word. Most recently it was Erin Hahn’s You’d Be Mine that kept me awake.

rainbowed your bookshelves – This is not an easy thing to do, or maybe for some people it is, but for me it took work. Not all of my shelves are rainbowed, but one and a half of them are and it was definitely worth it.
collected all the books – I don’t mean keeping every book you’ve ever read or owning everything by a specific author, I’m talking about multiple editions of the same book. Gayle Forman has published ten books, but if you add up all the different editions I have it totals fifty-two. Her books mean a lot to me, and I’m so proud of my collection.
read in the shower – Have you ever been reading a book and felt like you just couldn’t put it down, but unfortunately responsibilities were calling your name? Because same. Enter my bluetooth waterproof speaker and the audiobook version of my current read! It can be tricky to hear it over the sound of the water sometimes, but I’ve made it work.

got a book themed tattoo – Two of my tattoos are book themed, but my favorite is my Jane Eyre inspired tattoo. It’s the silhouette of Jane from the back as I imagine her. Jane Eyre is my absolute favorite classic, and I’ve read it countless times.
bought all the books – My TBR isn’t a pile, it’s an entire bookcase. I’ll get to them all eventually.
destroyed books – Before you panic, unsubscribe, and vow never to return to my blog again, hear me out. It was for my wedding. My bouquet was made out of book pages. Harry Potter book pages to be exact. And the end result was so worth it.

created your own personal library – Before my son was born, I used the extra bedroom in our apartment as my library. The walls were lined with bookshelves and I had my nana’s comfy chair by the window. It was the perfect place to read.
saved your childhood books – There are just some books from when I was a kid that I haven’t been able to get rid of yet. The two biggest groups are my Boxcar Children series and my Beverly Cleary books. I hope someday my son will enjoy them!

dressed up as your favorite character – This is one I actually haven’t ever done, but for Halloween in 2018 I did turn my son into Llama Llama Red Pajama.

I love that so many bookworms have losing sleep as an option! I’ve definitely read for longer than I should have done with an early start the next day.

I’ve saved books from my childhood too! I’ve recently let some of them go because I needed more space for other books and because I wanted to share them with a younger generation, but there are some I just can’t let go of. I’ll always have the Anne of Green Gables series and the Little House series. Here is our Top Ten Tuesday

I definitely want to create my own personal library one day! I wish I’d hung onto more of my childhood favourites but I needed more space for new books.

Those are gorgeous bookshelves! There aren’t too many books I own multiple editions of, but I have started collecting first printings of certain books… thanks to Amazon.com. I didn’t even know that you could buy special books like first prints and signed editions there until recently!

When you mentioned reading I forgot audiobooks were a thing… I’ve read in the bath before but getting anything close to water is super stressful.
I really like that your tattoo isn’t obviously book related. You must get all the compliments on top of the mystery.

So i’ve grew up playing legend of zelda with my uncle; my two dachshunds are named Kafei (Majoras Mask) and Sheik (Ocarina of time/Hyrule Warrior)
On my left thigh I have the sheikah eye symbol (so, for sheik), with Kafei’s pendant wrapped on the « handle » (well, for kafei 😂) and the three spiritual stones around it, so for the triforce; courage wisdom and power
