There was a different post planned for today on the importance of showing love for backlist titles but life happened and I didn’t get it written so here’s a book tag instead!
How many books is too many books in a book series?
Honestly I prefer standalones but if I’m going to read a series I like for it to be just three books.
How do you feel about cliffhangers?
If it makes sense to end a book on a cliffhanger then that’s great! Don’t force it though because readers can tell.
Hardback or paperback?
Hardback! I like how they don’t flop around. Always take the dust jacket off when you read it though. Always.
Least favorite book?
The one I cannot let go of and fills me with rage any time I think about it is We All Looked Up by Tommy Wallach. It was just a complete dumpster fire.
Love triangles, yes or no?
I generally don’t mind them! I like the anticipation of wondering who will end up together.
A book you’re currently reading?
Last night I started The Babysitters Coven by Kate Williams!
The most recent book you just couldn’t finish?
The Merciful Crow by Margaret Own – I just couldn’t understand what the words were saying at all.
Last book you recommended to someone?
Oldest book you’ve read? (Publication date)
Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen (which I hated)
Newest book you’ve read? (Publication date)
Aphrodite Made Me Do It by Trista Mateer which releases October 1 and is more incredible than I could possibly ever convey with words. I can’t wait to share my review with you in a few weeks.
Gayle. Fucking. Forman.
Buying books or borrowing books?
Buying because if I loved it I want to own a copy but I hate buying books I’ve already read all the time because I feel like I’m missing out on the opportunity to read something new.
A book you dislike that everyone else seem to love?
Aurora Rising by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff *cringe* This book irritated me so much and I hated it. You can read my full review to find out why.
Bookmarks or dog-ears?
Both! I go through phases where I exclusively use bookmarks and then phases where I don’t feel like keeping up with a bookmark so I dog-ear for a while. Being okay with dog-earring is one of my unpopular book opinions!
A book you can always reread?
Literally any of Gayle Forman’s books.
Can you read while hearing music?
Yes! Music is always playing in my apartment.
One POV or multiple POVs?
I won’t refuse to read a book with multiple POVs but I do prefer is there is only one.
Do you read a book in one sitting or over multiple days?
Generally one to two sittings/one to two days.
Who do you tag?
Anybody that wants to do it!
What book are you always able to reread? Let me know in the comments!
