Monthly Wrap Up: November 2019

Is November really over already? Like, are you sure? This wrap up has to be going up way too soon because I swear the month just started.

I read twelve books during the month which is more than I’ve read in a while! The majority of the books were read during the first half of the month and I wish I had continued to read a lot during the second half but it’s alright. Here are the books that I liked enough to rate four or five stars:

Monthly Wrap Up: October 2019

I don’t know how it’s possible for a month to feel both short and long at the same time but October accomplished it.

I managed to read nine books in October which I’m actually pretty proud of considering everything that was going on. Overall they were high quality books too which I was really thankful for. I’d still love to get back to reading fifteen books a month but if I’m going to be in the single digits I would at least like to read mostly good things. Here are the ones that were four or five stars:

Monthly Wrap Up: September 2019

September really was not a great month. It started out okay but the second half just went downhill very quickly. October is likely to be rough too because my son will be having his seventh heart surgery soon. I’ll talk a little more about it in the life section at the end of this post. First though let’s talk about BOOKS!

This probably won’t be a great wrap up and for that I’m really sorry. I am drained of all energy in every way possible but I’m trying.

Reading

I haven’t been reading much the past few months and it’s really bumming me out. September only saw me getting through 6 books and I’m just ready for life to calm down a bit so I can play catch up! Of the few I did read this month here are the ones that were 4 or 5 stars:

Monthly Wrap Up: August 2019

August was a whirlwind of busy and it passed by so quickly! It was definitely much better than July and its left me feeling positive going into September.

Reading

Somehow I read 8 books in August which is shocking me because it felt like I read about 2? Obviously this wasn’t a great reading month for me (I’m not really happy with anything under 13) but I’m cutting myself a break because I was incredibly busy with everything else. What I did read though was high quality! Here are the ones that were 4 or 5 stars:

Monthly Wrap Up: July 2019

Does anybody else feel like July went by incredibly slowly? It really seems as if July 4 was a lifetime ago. Probably I’m just anxious for August because it’s mine and Elliott’s birthday month! Birthdays are some of my favorite things, and this will be Elliott’s first one not spent in the hospital, so I’m a little extra excited.

MY READING SLUMP IS OVER! Y’all, that was brutal. I think it was a month and a half long? It isn’t the longest slump I’ve ever had, but it was rough. Out of the 19 books I managed to read in July, here are the ones that were 4 or 5 stars:

Monthly Wrap Up: June 2019

My wrap up was supposed to be up yesterday, but I’ve been sick and didn’t get it finished in time. June went by quickly and I really can’t believe the year is already halfway over. I swear it still seems like we should be bundling up to keep warm when instead it’s so hot outside that I start sweating before I even open my door. It’s a bit ridiculous. Bring back my sweater weather, please!

Reading

The entire month had me in a huge reading slump, so I was very surprised to see that I read eleven books. I don’t entirely know why I haven’t felt like reading, but I’ve been more into watching Netflix than anything else. Of the books I did read, here are the ones that got four or five stars:

Monthly Wrap Up: May 2019

What. A. Month. May was so ridiculous. It seemed to drag on for forever but also passed really fast? I don’t even know. I’m so glad it’s over and June is here and I’m really crossing my fingers it will be a better month.

Reading

I read twelve books in May and the majority of them were really good! Most of the books ended up being read during the week long readathon I participated in. I know why I didn’t read much at the end of the month (I’ll talk about it down below in the life section), but I don’t really know what happened at the beginning. Here are my four and five star books from the month:
