Anything but Books Tag

If you’re visiting my corner of the internet then it’s likely you love books as much as I do. I think it’s impossible to talk about books too much, but I thought today I’d share some things about me that have nothing to do with them. So are you ready to learn a little more about me?

This tag was originally created by Katie from ReadorRot and I found it through Katie from Melting Pages!

Name a cartoon character that you love.

Hilda! Oh, I love Hilda so much. She’s spunky, full of life, and such a sweet soul. I haven’t read the graphic novel yet, only the novelizations, but the cartoon Netflix turned it into is the absolute cutest thing I’ve ever seen.

What is your favorite song right now?

If I have to only choose one song then I’m going to go with Guiltless by dodie. It’s one that just reaches into my heart. Were I to choose an entire album though it’s no surprise that I’m incredibly obsessed with Happiness Begins from the Jonas Brothers.

100th Blog Post Celebratory Q&A

It doesn’t seem possible, but yesterday I made my 100th blog post! I’ve never done more than one post a day and it really doesn’t feel like I’ve been blogging long enough to reach this (what I’m considering) milestone. Sharing my love of books is something I’m incredibly passionate about, but it isn’t always easy, so I’m proud that I’ve made it this far. To celebrate, I asked Twitter and Instagram to send me any questions they had for me and today I’ll be answering them!

What are your top five favorite music artists?

  1. Taylor Swift
  2. Ariana Grande
  3. Ed Sheeran
  4. Jonas Brothers
  5. Julia Michaels

Those really aren’t in any particular order (except Taylor Swift she’s definitely #1), and it was really hard not to add dodie on there, but I’m trying to stick with just five.

Monthly Wrap Up: May 2019

What. A. Month. May was so ridiculous. It seemed to drag on for forever but also passed really fast? I don’t even know. I’m so glad it’s over and June is here and I’m really crossing my fingers it will be a better month.

Reading

I read twelve books in May and the majority of them were really good! Most of the books ended up being read during the week long readathon I participated in. I know why I didn’t read much at the end of the month (I’ll talk about it down below in the life section), but I don’t really know what happened at the beginning. Here are my four and five star books from the month:

Monthly Wrap Up: April 2019

Where the heck did April go?! I swear I didn’t realize it was ending until like two days before the end of the month. Literally just a few days before I had looked at all the books I’d read so far in the month and patted myself on the back and thinking what a great reading month it would be since we still had half a month to go. Clearly I did not have my life together in April.

Introducing Noodle

On Saturday, my family welcomed it’s newest member, Noodle the kitten! I’ve been wanting a cat for about five years now, but had never been able to convince my husband that we needed one. Thanks to the magic of Taylor Swift (have you listened to ME! yet? I love it!) and the fact that she just introduced us to her third cat, Benjamin Button, he finally said we could start looking for a cat!
