The Mid-Year Freak Out Tag

I have a huge weak spot for tags and I love completing them, so I was excited when I saw Sibby from Novelties tag me in the Mid-Year Freak Out Tag! I’ve been seeing this one going around and it looks like a lot of fun. This tag has been around for basically forever and was originally created by Earl Grey Books and Chami!

So far in 2019 I’ve read 100 books which for me translates to 29,931 pages. My longest book has been the re-read of Illuminae I did and the shortest book was The Good Listener. I don’t typically provide star ratings in my reviews, but on Goodreads my average rating for the year is 3.69. Now onto the tag that features only books I’ve read this year!

Do I Have That Book? Tag

This has probably been the tag I’ve had the most fun with so far! It’s actually more of a challenge or scavenger hunt, though, and it’s definitely the one that’s been the most stressful. I pretty much forgot about every single book I owned while trying to complete it.

Nobody specifically challenged me to do this, but I saw Tracy from Cornerfolds do it and thought it looked like so much fun! Thanks, Keeping Tabs, for originally making this!

  • Time yourself trying to find each prompt on your shelf.
  • Try and beat the time of the person who challenged you.
  • Don’t forget to tag your challenger and the original creator.

Anything but Books Tag

If you’re visiting my corner of the internet then it’s likely you love books as much as I do. I think it’s impossible to talk about books too much, but I thought today I’d share some things about me that have nothing to do with them. So are you ready to learn a little more about me?

This tag was originally created by Katie from ReadorRot and I found it through Katie from Melting Pages!

Name a cartoon character that you love.

Hilda! Oh, I love Hilda so much. She’s spunky, full of life, and such a sweet soul. I haven’t read the graphic novel yet, only the novelizations, but the cartoon Netflix turned it into is the absolute cutest thing I’ve ever seen.

What is your favorite song right now?

If I have to only choose one song then I’m going to go with Guiltless by dodie. It’s one that just reaches into my heart. Were I to choose an entire album though it’s no surprise that I’m incredibly obsessed with Happiness Begins from the Jonas Brothers.

The Jonas Brothers Book Tag

You shouldn’t be surprised by the fact that I’m about to match some books up to a few Jonas Brothers songs, but you should be surprised that it took me this long to do it. I’m incredibly excited for Happiness Begins, the new documentary on Amazon, and their upcoming memoir. To celebrate the Year of Jonas I thought it would be the perfect time to complete this tag created by Morrisa from Morr Books!

(If at any point you’re reading this and you think to yourself, “wow those words really don’t make sense” I apologize. I’ve been really stressed and anxious lately, I haven’t been sleeping much, and I just took NyQuil because I’m not feeling great. So who knows what I’m about to type!)

S.O.S. – a book or series that broke your heart

I’ll Meet You There by Heather Demetrios – I read this right after it came out in February of 2015, and while I don’t remember everything that happened I do remember how emotional of a story it was. This is one I’m really looking forward to rereading soon so I can be broken all over again by Skylar and Josh.

Tag: Currently Reading

When I saw this tag on Ayushi’s My Bookish Blog I thought it was so fun and the questions were unique, so of course I wanted to do it! Before starting my post I actually spent probably about ten minutes tracking down the creator of this tag. I started to get worried I wasn’t going to be able to figure it out, but I finally did (super sleuthing for the win!).

Thanks to Charly Reynhorse for this tag’s creation! Please, y’all, remember to always tag the creators any time you do something like this. Charly hasn’t been active on YouTube for a couple of years, but she still deserves credit for her original content.

Okay, thanks for listening to my little tangent. On to the questions!

How many books do you usually read at once?

Probably about 95% of the time I only read one. Sometimes though whenever I’m driving back and forth to the city, which takes several hours, for my son’s doctors appointments I’ll start an audiobook in the car that’s different from the physical book I’m reading. Or if I’m reading something on my Kindle and it dies then I’ll start a physical book. But those situations are rare.

Taylor Swift Book Tag

TS7 is coming and oh my god I’m so excited! When she started changing her social media icons and teasing what I’m assuming is a new single I was taking a bath and I just sat there for like ten minutes crying. Then I didn’t go to sleep until 5 am because there was too much excitement running through my veins.

Pretty immediately I started wondering if there was a Taylor Swift book tag, because if there was I knew I wanted to do it, but I had trouble finding one. I found a couple of album specific ones but I was really wanting a tag that did songs from all of her albums. When I couldn’t find one I decided that it’s creation was long overdue so I present to you the Taylor Swift book tag!

  • Know somebody who loves Taylor? Tag them! If you don’t know of anybody though, that’s okay too, you should still do the tag!
  • Link back to this post so I’ll get a notification that you did it and I can come see your answers! Also because crediting creators is nice.
  • Feel free to use any of my graphics or make your own if you want!

If I Stay by Gayle Forman gets me every. single. time.

The A to Z Book Tag (My 50th Post!)

Today I’ll be sharing the A to Z book tag with y’all! This tag was created by Jamie from The Perpetual Page Turner. Like Jamie, I would jump at any chance to fill out a survey on Facebook during my youth, so I’m really glad she created this. A huge thank you to Laura from Laura Herondale’s Book Blog for tagging me!

Also, this is my 50th post and I’m so proud of myself!!
